Barstools with Backs or Without?

Barstools with backs can offer support for patrons who plan to stay awhile. Stools with no backs, on the other hand, can encourage mingling and create a more inviting, inclusive environment for all patrons inside your bar.

The Yvonne Barstool offers a super comfortable, cushioned back with a 4-leg base that says, “Make yourself at home.” It’s got a modern yet retro look to it, perfect for hotels, restaurants, and any public environment.

Our new Genoa Barstool offers something in between backed and backless barstool. This elegant stool with a minimalist silhouette is made of steamed bentwood in ash. Bar patrons get subtle and gentle back support without feeling confined.  It comes in standard wood finishes, including light walnut and light oak, and with upholstered seats.  Low-profile barstools can fit under the counter, which can make for easier cleanup at the end of the night.

Our unusually shaped Cone Stool is a backless barstool that can really help your coffee shop or pub stand out. Back or backless, Beaufurn barstools combine form and function beautifully.

Barstools with Arms or Without?

Chairs with arms seem to always provide a sense of comfort, but when it comes to barstools, that isn’t always the case. If the design space already challenges you in its capacity, then choose a barstool with the most minimal silhouette. That’s likely going to be a barstool without arms.

The Rumi B SI R Barstool is an interesting design that comes in a variety of bases. It comes in Sled, 4-Leg, Bar Height barstool styles.

Stackable Barstools & Barstools Perfect for Outdoors

For barstools that are ideal for outdoor use, Beaufurn proudly presents the New Isla Barstool. Its clean, modern design and polka-dot backing enables sneaks in a bit of whimsy. Made of co-injected metal polymer, these stackable barstools are perfect for indoor or outdoor bars, coffee shops, hotels, and restaurants.

Designers favor stacking stools for their space-saving qualities, especially convenient for outdoor venues. If your bar or restaurant isn’t going to keep its outdoor furniture out year-round, you’ll want to consider purchasing stackable stools.

Are All Bar Stools in Restaurants the Same Height?

Bar chair norms are at a height around 30 inches, but most barstools can be cut down to counter height, which is 24-26 inches high.  We recommended that there be at least 12 inches of clearance from the seat to the underside of the tabletop, etc.  Most of our barstools can be cut down, except for barstools with gas spring or sled base.

If you need help deciding which barstools are best for your space, drop us a note. We’ll get back to you as quickly as we can to discuss your latest design project.
